From July 1st,
2006 a new European
Directive will come in to force. The
RoHS-(Restriction of Hazardous Substances)
Directive 2002/95/EC of the EU.
The RoHS
restricts the
use of
six hazardous
substances in
products sold into the EU:
Mercury
(Hg)
Cadmium (Cd)
Lead (Pb)
Hexavalent
Chrome
(Cr-VI) Polybromated Biphenyle (PBB) Polybromated Diphenylether (PBDE) 2E (UK) agrees to the use of `green products` and is committed to conducting business in an environmentally friendly manner. We are currently working hard to ensure compliance. 2E (UK) is currently working closely with our suppliers to ensure that all 2E (UK) products will be RoHS compliant by June 30th, 2006 Because of our large product range we have produced a schedule for when different product ranges comply with the directive. from June 30th, 2005 mixed deliveries of conform and non-conform articles may occur. Products which meets the RoHS directive will be clearly marked. A detailed list of compliant and non compliant products will also be made available. If you require any further information regarding this matter please contact the RoHS Directive Coordinator on RoHS@2euk.com For the time being 2E (UK) Ltd will be producing both RoHS compliant and non-compliant products. The compliant products or the packaging will be marked with the green 'compliant' labels
